yeah i love asian markets. they always have the freshest pork too - way better quality than even some of the shit i see at whole foods.
as far as sauces the only 2 i ever buy are soy sauce and
most other sauces can be made easily with a combination of the above 2 ingredients, vinegar, and sugar.

I always have Sriracha.
But I'm a sucker for fish sauces. I have probably 6 different kinds in my fridge door. Today I bought another one of those, a red curry paste (Still trying to find one that I like), a new thing of schezwan marinade for stir-fry meats, and a spicy wok oil.

i don't know what kind of "asian" grocery store you go to.
But if you're lucky enough to stumble upon a japanese meat supplier, you 'bess get some kobe beef.
Yeah i know it's expensive. But it's definitely worth the experience.
When i was in Korea i had the chance to try a fillet cut, in the U.S. it goes for around $300.
But it was easily the softest, juiciest piece of steak i don' bit on.

I've only seen ginger flavored soy sauce here.
And I really don't like ginger...

for spicy stuff i go for sambal or thai chillies. a lot of hot for your money.
next time look in the produce section for longan berries. they're yum. weird candies in those stores too.
