 Shipping Spore Syringes. Do I Need to use UPS?

Sporeworks ships UPS. I don't know if other vendors do, but this got me thinking. Is it unsafe to ship usps?
I will ship mine with a new microscopy slide (to a legal state), but I am guessing if they ran the package through a x-ray or whatever, they would open a pkg with syringes.
What should I do?

Fed-Ex? Mine have always come UPS. I do live in the sticks. I can't say I have ever seen a Fed-Ex tuck out here now that I think about it.

I recently moved and have never seen anything but Fed-Ex around here. Obviously we have UPS, but The note on my door sure said Fed-Ex.
