In a daze
    #8403727 - 05/15/08 12:49 AM (6 months, 18 days ago)

I had been abused as a kid and have had dysthymia for years with an occasional Major breakdown. I went through many meds through the course of a couple months but finally decided to stop taking them because many made me feel worse. Now that I have stopped taking everything I feel outside of my body and very depressed. I workout daily and have dealt with all my issues but I don't seem to get better. What should I do?

Wait it out man....I sort of know how you feel. Dont give up and just remember that how you feel is a state of mind. try to have some fun, hangout with friends, play sports whatever, And dont depend on ANY drugs to make you feel better. Good luck to ya bro

I'm not familiar with dysthemia, but possibly try a vitamin B stress complex?

I have to take two a day or I turn into psycho raving bitch from hell, but those two vitamins a day keep me on a perfectly even keel.

Granted, they are not anti-depressants, BUT, the vitamins B have shown the traits of mood stabilisation.

Be advised that A) it may make your pee smell, and B) it will turn your pee BRIGHT NEON FLOURESCENT YELLOW.

A psychiatrist said that disassociation fades away with time, but It's just getting to be too hard to deal with.
I think the depression brought on by the meds triggered this defense mechanism. But thats just my theory

Thanks for the help.
