So why is it that I would rather discuss street-corner philosophy with night-crawlers than discuss epistemology with Kant?

I spent three hours, doing the male-bonding thing with a pimp last night, and we talked about all kinds of shit, and even though we have radically different backgrounds, we both got along fucking great! He wants to introduce me to his homeys and his family, and we?re gonna go see Star Wars 2 this week (watch Mace Windu kick some serious clone ass!), and he?s gonna set me up with some broads -- off the fucking meter! It?s pretty fucking damn casual! :cool:

Why is this? Is it because I?ve spent the better part of my like trying to live out some kind of twisted Charles Bukowski, Tom Waits, Donald Fagan, kind of hepcat lifestyle? I enjoy smoky jazz clubs, loose women, sybaritic pleasures, and hard core dugs, much more than straight up theory! :crazy:

I don?t? have any idea why I am, the way I am, but I still don?t have any regrets. Maybe it?s just the romantic artist in me, that is attracted to this darker side. All I know, is that after 20+ years of racking up some hard miles, and shooting some mighty straight pool, that I can hang with the best of them? :crazy: :grin: :cool:

I dunno why I am posting this, just thinking out loud about some crossroads I guess, and I'd rather go out like Robert Johnson than Socrates! :laugh:
