A head full of confusion

Needless to say i partied it up on the 4th. Diminished my 1/2 an ounce of quality cannabis and consumed more alcohol than i care to remember.
Had a good time at my friends party, not too many girls so i got a ride home at like 3 am. I woke up this morning and am wondering what the hell am i doing in life?
There was a death in the family and now i'm going to California for a few days monday to thursday i believe. Its all to go to the wake and or funeral.
I'm at work typing this up and continue to wonder what am i doing? Is this what life is even about? Jobs and school. I think too often, i think too much, and i think too deeply. Ignorance is truly bliss.

"ignorance is truly bliss"
I'm becoming frequently jealous of the ignorant. Lucky bastards just getting form A to B without question.
I was at work the other day and the woman who sits next to me was like "Is this it? Is this all there is to life?" She's 43. She's a really nice person but I hope I find the answer to that question by the time i'm that age...
Ramble...ramble...
Sorry to hear about your loss man

I didn't know the family member that well, it was my aunt not an immediate family member. I'm not trying to say it hasn't affected me at all, but its not like losing a brother or parent.
Yea i'm hoping to find some meaning in all of this too. I'm all too tired of fulling the set path of school and society that doesn't seem to get any closer to my answer.

yeah even though school is supposed to be about empowering you, all it is (generally speaking) is a tool to help you fit in with society. in the majority of cases its such a waste of potential. Its very well documented how schools systems globally are set up to support and supply industry with cheap labour.
Chin up man, at least you see it

Yea i've seen school as a process to make me "best fit" in a society. You see how much of our world is about working most efficiently (in the economical sense). School is about teaching are people how to fit in and be efficient so the country can be efficient.
It's a tiring process and i can't wait for the last 4 years to be over. College should allow for some freedom and learning with value attached to it. I enjoyed parts of highschool, college should be bearable at minimum.

yeah man you'll have a blast. good to have an eye on the future. i think alot of the problem with school is just how it's laced with rules, regulation and more rules. It's not so bad at University you get to explore and enjoy your freedoms more. I think anyway.

I know there won't be such a time-lock. Also they have interesting classes on philosophy and psychology.
I still can't process i'm going to California. I've been working away my summers days and i wanted to go to Orb Festival but this cali trip is mucking things up.
What to do...
