 hmmm wi-fi capabilities

So we just got an 42 HDTV, and i was playin the good old xbox 360 on it and wondered instead of having to buy a ridiculously long cable to the hub or buy a wireless reciever for it, could I hook my macbook pro up to it via ethernet and use the macs wireless abilities to play xbox live?

The easy answer is no.
The long complicated answer is, its plausable and maybe even possible if you can set your macbook to tunnel and brige the ethernet and wireless connections on it and run som sort of NAT between them with routing rules.
If it was linux you would set up iptables to NAT between the connections and set the wireless up to connect to your wireless router, then set up DHCPD on your ethernet line for the xbox.
On MACOS I have no idea what the BSD capabilities are regarding firewalling and NAT

If you have wireless internet on it you can I know for sure cause thats what I used to do. Not sure if you dont have a wireless i dunno.
