Thing is....The more expensive your pipe is the more one will lean towards keeping it clean. Do you have a metal pipe or glass bowl? Its kinda like buying a Ford Turas vs a BMW. Chances are the BMW owner will clean their car more....

i don't leave water in my bong but i'll be the first to ignore the stem and let resin build for ages.. and both my glass pieces aren't cheap.

i dont smoke anymore. but when i did, i would only smoke out of glass. metal and wood just plain suck balls.
and yes, keep that shit clean. it tastes better that way.

proactive cleanliness FTW. i can handle a dirty pipe because you cant really see it, but a nasty bong is out of hand.

I like to keep my glass pipes good and resin-y. Bongs should be kept clean, though. Nasty bongwater is gross.

Also anyone ever have a group session with a metal pipe? The pipe gets hot as a stove top and that shit burns you if you grab it wrong. LOL. Metal pipes suck. But on the other hand, if you have a tendency to drop things then you are one of those frequent glass bowl breakers along with me. Metal pipes on the other hand will last forever or untill you lose it.

I won't smoke out of a metal pipe except in extreme cases, these days. If somebody is passing metal around a party I'll pass on it.

see, were all pros here.
its you friends who dont know that let there pipes get all nasty.
clean once a week if im bored or been smokin heavy.
NEVER leave bong water in. always fresh, always icey.
the only down side is hot lunches due to a non restricted airway. i dont use screens, therefore i pay the price for wanting to keep a clean and tasty pipe.
i also refuse to smoke regs out of glass. glass if for nug. blunts are for regs

I like to resin blast pipes but also like to keep the bowl clean so the weed taste fresher I usually scrape all the resin in the bowl down to the center and smoke it.
