Unreal Tournament III or Call of Duty 4?

I'm going to buy either UTIII or CoD4 as I need a new FPS I can play online (and obviously you can't play them over the net when you get a pirated version of it). I downloaded both of their demos ... UTIII seems pretty sweet, while CoD4 didn't seem all that great... although it seems to have been rated higher than UTIII by many sources.

Although really you can't tell how good the online play is from the demos.

Anyone own either of these games?

I haven't play an Unreal Tournament game since the first one.

I'm borrowing my buddies CoD4 for the Xbox360. I'm not nearly as impressed as my friends seem to be.

the PC version of CoD4 is supreme. Especially with many new updates coming out pretty frequently. UT3 is also pretty bad ass, if you're a fan of the fast-paced shoot'em up franchise then its worth it. Me personally, am a fan more of CoD4 just because I like that type of gameplay more.

call of duty 4 is the best online game on the market and it has the best graphics 60 frames per sec

personally, I thought UT3's multiplayer was boring as hell

But I also think call of duty 4 is the most overrated game ever.

cod4 > ut3 though

The question is whether you want a unique and pretty realistic modern combat experience where the weapons actually work the same way they do in real life (in multiplayer at least) and you can use realistic tactics and such, or you want to play Quake 3 Arena part 10

call of duty 4 is a fun game. fun single player and a great multiplayer system. i haven't played UT though.

UT3 but that's only because I do game design and like using the engine. CoD wasn't that great. D:

CoD4 is so hard. Multiplayer is just ridiculous for me, I die so much. I don't really enjoy it, but I'm picky with my FPS games.

Never played UT3.
