do you know why you're so nervous? knowing can help already

find yourself some breathing exercises on the web, you can easily do that while/before playing pool

im the same way in my basketball league, again its not high stakes but the desire to do well is still stressful and causes anxiety. I do several things; focus on nothing else but what you have to do. To me this is the most important and the hardest thing. This means not even looking at anyone else who may be watching you. Eliminate everything but yourself and what you need to accomplish. The second thing I do is breathing slow and steady. Then I close my eyes and picture what will happen before I execute it. Finally I execute. You have the fortunate situation of having no real time restraints, in basketball I usually only have time to preform the first step. But focus is the most important factor to any competitive endeavor.
