analog tv signal gone

im sure most if not all of you are aware of the upcoming swtichover from analog to digital signal. however, starting a few weeks ago, the TVs that dont have FiOS on them stopped getting signals alltogether (new york area). anyone know why this would be/if some states are doing the switchover early or something?

Dunno. I say, hollow them out and build terrarium type FC's. Make for some cool pictures!
