Anybody still listen to these guys? I heard them once described as "a Grateful Dead for people that hate the Grateful Dead". Thought it was an interesting appraisal.

I have Meat Puppets I & II on vinyl - both on SST Records. Both are most excellent. Meat Puppets I was recorded on LSD, by the way. Lyrics can be found online (the lyrics can, umm, hardly be understood on the album - as you know - so go read them online - they are quite good).

raymond pettibon - the artist who did all the old SST & LA punk flyers - he's got some good art - I saw an exhibit of his once. needless to say, it ruled.
