It was ok, it was missing something though

Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say 'I think,' 'I am,' but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time

It was definitely a cool movie, A little better than average, but it wasn't no Iron Man.

it was like a new-age western. Not typical western film dialog. I dont know what's up with it.

i agree with you it was good but it was just missing a little something. almost like a made for tv movie, but it was obviously better than just a cable network movie. im struggling to convey what im thinking

3:10 is an old remake. If you have ever seen the old version its pretty close. The movie is all about values and living up to what you make yourself out to be, internal struggle and all that. Really I love old westerns and this one came really close to re-making one. If I was judging Id give it an 8 out of 10. But then again I love the old spaghetti types as well as the glenn ford or gabby hayes, as long as its a western ill watch it.

Whats wrong with it is the good guy buys it at the end. Heh, movies are supposed to be all happy ending and shit. This one ends with a man sacrificing it all to show his son he is the man he thinks himself to be. Thats whats wrong, its dark, depressing and all machismo, no hot chicks, no little house on the prairie story but most certainly all OLD West! Thats what makes this movie, the code of men from times gone by.

it has nothing to do with the plot. It's the delivery that's lacking.

Im a fan of old westerns but I didnt like it. It was trite.
-------------------- Behold yon miserable creature. That Point is a Being like ourselves, but confined to the non-dimensional Gulf. He is himself his own World, his own Universe; of any other than himself he can form no conception; he knows not Length, nor Breadth, nor Height, for he has had no experience of them; he has no cognizance even of the number Two; nor has he a thought of Plurality; for he is himself his One and All, being really Nothing. Yet mark his perfect self-contentment, and hence learn his lesson, that to be self-contented is to be vile and ignorant, and that to aspire is better than to be blindly and impotently happy.

Well, Ill just agree to disagree. The original flick moved slow and steady just like the new version. I think the movie does just what it supposed to, but hey, we cant all like the same things or life gets old real quick. I enjoyed it, but I must say, the rest of my family pretty much just put up with it. But like I said, I read, watch and love OLD westerns, so it seemed to me like it held up that end of the bargain.

I thought 3:10 to Yuma was the second best movie I saw all year, right after No Country for Old Men. I'm not a fan of westerns but I loved 3:10. There ain't nothin wrong with the movie.
