 My middle finger on my left hand is numb...

Hopefully someone can explain this.
I woke up this morning, sat in my computer chair for a few hours and my middle finger on my left hand went numb, like dead to the touch, couldn't feel anything.
I eventually got up and left and ran some errands, feeling came back pretty quickly.
Now that I've been sitting in my chair for a few hours, the mother fucker went numb again.
Does this make any sense? I'm guessing it has to do something with the way I'm sitting. I must be pinching a nerve or something along those lines. Either way, having one of your fingers numb really complicates typing.
Ideas, anyone?

I get that sometimes too. I have no idea why, but it always seems to happen more after lots of exercise and yoga. Feeling seems to return if the digit is massaged by someone with warm hands.

No, all I can say is it's gotta be some sort of circulation problem. Nothing necesarilly bad unless it's persistent.

It could be a light case of this, which most people sometimes notice when driving for long periods of time....
A good test for this is to raise your hands/arms straight up and hold them there for 2 minutes....
If your hands or fingers go numb, it is a sign of carpal tunnel....
It could also be that bad posture while sitting at your computer is pinching the nerves leading to your fingers from in between your shoulder blades....
Or, you could have that "Mad Middle Finger Syndrome"....

Worst case scenario: multiple sclerosis or parkinson's disease. But it's much more likely to be carpal tunnel!
