 Am I sketching out for no reason?

my friend/future roomate as of next week, just now informed me that he is very seriously thinking of growing pot in the new place. I'm pretty sketched out about this, because it's a smelly ass process in a tiny apartment and there's going to be high amounts of traffic in n out of the place.
plus, if we (and i know we will) get rolled for some sort of party, i'm sure the reeking smell of marijuana out of the apartment will get cops hungry for an arrest.
am i oversketching? what do i tell him, no i really don't feel comfortable with you busting that?
oh man, he's so shady!

Ya, growing in an apartment is a bad idea. The only people I've known who grew in apartments...got busted for it.

but yea ferris, it would be 1 or 2 plants in a closet, but even that sketches me out. thing is, we're probably going to be trpiping there alot to, and that shit will SKETCH me out under those states, and even sober states.

i think the party thing is poorly named. more like big get together of our friends, non of that random people kegger bullshit things. but although friends, we do have some shady friends, who just do things that should not be done alot of times....

that whole operation smells of marijuana and future failure. in your situation i wouldn't say you're sketching out, you're seeing the flaws in his plans and they are no small ones either. if you go with that plan you better pre-stretch yer asshole as you will get busted and share a cell with a huge black guy.

Hey, i feel its right to give both sides of everything. the good side is, it has been done and has been done succesfuly with out getting caught and ive seen some of the best Op's ive ever seen in apartment, ill refer you to a certian issue of high time that logs a grow in one, and also there were thousands of them on OG before it got shut down. and not to mention with love and care and some good research and the right tools you can quickly and efficently produce some of the best sensi youll ever have the chance of smoking, and have the satisfaction of doing it your self and not going to some shady dealer for mexi brick at 30 and eigth. And in the US there and such things as tentant rights and they should be in your lease, check that and im sure that you have enough rights that as long as you dont give the police probable cause it would take even your landlord a 24 hour notice by law to enter, plenty of time to dismantle.
But with everything good there is always a bad side. Small grows can be the hardest to hide and apartment electricity is usually standard meaning if your in a twelve unit building and each unit is using so much and then you are the only one running a sky high bill because of the input output fans the ballast and so forth needed to run a small grow to control temps and to filter air to keep smell down it may send up red flags, not to mention sometimes it can cost more to run a small grow with people close by because of all the extra precautions you got to take, such as carbon filters and light proofing and temp controls in small quaters. so in the end the choice is yours and your friends but either way realize there is always a smart and a dumb way to go about everything and please for everyone be smart and make the right choice for you guys and be safe in any and all ventures. i just served a state bid for some shit and know from personal expirence that even the best thought out plans have flaws and need to be rethunk before execution and some times they should just be scraped all together for saftey. hope this helps.
