It's not too late to hitch a ride down south.
"We couldn't find tickets that matched your request."
What do you think my odds are of scalping a ticket to this show and at what price?

Sounds like one hell of a show. Where the hell is Barry Sless? The pedal steel really defined the phil n friends sound for quite a while.
But really I wish they would just ditch larry campbell, get sless off the steel and onto lead guitar. He is a genius on the pedal steel but when he plays regular electric its fuckin crazy. Barry Sless is a farrr better lead guitar than larry campbell or mark karan or anyone else I've seen on the dead scene.

Oh man I'm jealous - not that I've much reason to be, I had a wonderful evening at the Greek with Phil Friends last sunday! Opening with a Terrapin, second set China Rider, Franklin's Tower... it was all good until the Greek made them stop playing because the theatre is in a residential neighborhood.
But man, what I wouldn't give to see Bobby out there with 'em. I think they should start a new 11 piece band and call it PhatDog!

barry>larry
not at the classic rock sense, but barry goes out to the cosmos and back pretty smoothly.
i may be biased towards larry from that first phil show i saw, but he just started boring me after the 12th time he used the same blues scale on every jerry song.
i'd love to give him another chance thoo

should have called me, i could have gotten two tickets for the show on the 18th for $125. of course, if they really are doing the whole discography that definitely would have been the worse night
