USPS is usually safe since they need a warrant to open your mail. Ups or Dhl or what not don't need anything but suspicion to open mail so as long as it was USPS it's not as bad, but still a little sketchy. . .

While this is technically true, you are forgetting that UPS/FedEx/DHL are privately owned companies that really don't care ("don't ask, don't tell" policy) as long as you are giving them their money. When dealing with USPS, on the other hand, you are dealing directly with the federal government. Just food for thought...
Not trying to scare you, just stating that IMO USPS is actually the absolute worst option if shipping anything possibly questionable, being a government entity and all.

Yeah but what I'm saying is any employee of ups or Dhl at anytime under cause of suspicion can open your mail, they don't even need company consent. USPS is a federal service and therefor even if they have suspicion they need a warrant to open your mail. Ups or Dhl may not "care" as you say but I'm sure they get a reward or some shit for turning you in. . . maybe not but generally its not like USPS has drug sniffing dogs or some shit! Either way sending shit in the mail is so fucking sketchy you might as well just do it in person!

As long as they were placed in some sort of box so as to hide the fact that there were pills in the letter, I'd say there's little to no risk.

I've mailed drugs inside the country many times.
I've never had a problem.
Secure packaging is your friend. As long as it doesn't break open in transit, nobody will have a clue or a care what you're shipping.

I don't know if any one is still reading this thread but I have family that works at Fedex and YES they do have drug dogs and random package selection for the dogs to test. The selection is limited to a handful of packages per hour but still too scary for me to try and get away with. I'm not sure about UPS, USPS, or DHL though.

Yeah, UPS has nothing of the sort.
I've never seen a drug dog there, or seen any kind of package inspected by anyone.
If it isn't open or leaking, we don't give a fuck.
And I know plenty of people that work at FedEx, none of whom have ever seen anything like what you're talking about.

Can drug dogs smell pills though? I mean, I've never heard of that being possible.

Drug dogs CAN be trained to detect almost any substance with an identifiable odor.
But in practice they are only trained to detect the most commonly smuggled drugs, such as cocaine, heroin, and marijuana, along with many types of common explosives.
I highly doubt anyone is training dogs to detect ecstasy.
