Just to let you know, you can't really drop weight and put on muscle at the same time. Doesn't work like that.

are you trying to say youre trying to get lean? if thats the case just eat the tuna whatever you want, and avoid the white carbs i guess.

I've done it. Dropped bodyfat and gained on my lifts (and my chest obviously filled out a little).
Steak and eggs my friend, steak and eggs.

That is impossible unless you were morbidly obese.

It's not impossible at all.
You lose bodyfat and add a slight amount of muscle at the same time.

It's possible if you're just starting out or if you're very obese, but on the whole it's not.
Go ask at the bodybuilding.com forums. They'll all tell you the same thing. In order to lose fat you must be in a calorie deficit. In order to gain muscle, you need to be taking in more calories then you expend. You can't do both at the same time.

Since January I have went from 165 pounds and almost no muscle tone to about 150 (about my ideal weight) and the best tone I've ever had.
Obviously it's possible.

It is, eat high protein things like egg whites, or the whole egg, tuna, tofu, and a lot of other meats.
If you eat lots of protein and do alot of cardio, your muscles will either stay the way they are or grow depending on how much protein you eat. General rule is one gram of protein per pound of body weight, and if you want to gain muscle eat double the protein and you shal gain muscle as long as you are active.
If you want to become lean, just do cardio... rowing, biking, walking and you can do some muscle exercises if you want, doesnt hurt.

Actually too much protein and not enough fat or carbs can have an adverse effect. You don't want your body converting protein to glucose.
