I was reading the newspaper just now and I came upon an interesting article. The article "Platypus made up of mix' n' match genes" talk about how "Genome sequencing shows how odd creatures were nature's experiments with transition".
Everyone trying to debunk evolution asked for an animal that was weird, half way through changes, well folks, here it is, the platypus! We all know how strange these creatures are, and they have strange genes to go with it. In the article they talk about how the platypus has genes from reptiles, birds and mammals. It lays eggs and has reptilian genes for that, It has mammalian genes for making milk, it even had genes very similar to snakes for making venom, very similar to snake venom, which is stored in its legs. Instead of having two sex genes like us and most mammals, X and Y, it has ten! And they more resemble birds sexual Z and W genes more so than our mammalian sex genes. The scientists talked about how it gave insight into how mammals evolved because it shows steps made toward mammalian traits, the differences in raising young and so on. Even though the platypus makes milk like a mammal it dispenses it to the young differently. I can't find the article online today, it will probably come into archives later, so I will link it another time.
So for all you anti-evolutionists asking for these wacky transitional animals, here you go! The Platypus, part reptile, part bird, part mammal, when the first scientist saw a platypus in 1799, he searched for the stitching thinking it was a hoax!

i read the article they had posted on yahoo about this today it was really interesting. i never realized they had so many crossing traits, i thought it was just and ugly fucker.
but i still dont think it proves evolution

I wasn't saying this alone proves evolution, I was just saying this was the "missing link" animal everyone wanted an example of. Evolution has enough evidence to be proof already, this just adds to the massive heap called life.

Look, you all asked again and again for a "missing link" I knew it would do nothing to change your minds, but everyone sees now that we have all the proof we need, you just choose not to accept it.
I saw another article about a group of people living in the middle east who were being studied genetically because they revealed things about the ancient world as they were part of an old bloodline. Basically, by denying evolution and the genetic evidence put forth about EVERYTHING you deny DNA research at all. Denying evolution means that you deny that DNA connects you to your father. We make a family tree of your relatives, back 1000 years to a human or back 10000000 to something not quite so human its the same thing, DNA is powerful, more powerful than you can imagine.

I think most of the naysayers are just crying because they want it to be called a theory and not fact. Just stirring up shit. Like we should call everything a theory, which would be fucking dumb because the word 'fact' would have no meaning since its impossible to prove anything 100%, since this could all be a dream anyway. I'm happy calling evolution a fact but in T-10 seconds niteowl is gonna respond saying something about how evolution is only a theory even though he completely agrees that it occurs.
