The shroomery should NOT have a face book application IMO.
What's your opinion??
This has got to be the dumbest idea ever. And personally if this feature is not removed I will never post grow related stuff here ever again.
Furthermore, do we really want "the world" to be so aware of how easy it is to grow mushrooms.
With a site like the shroomery, this will happen slowly anyway. More people will grow, share, and explain....
Prices fall. Conditions improve. Excellent.
However, I see this application as a threat, it could land some people in jail, or expose the shroomery to that "why don't you have a seat, right over there" story that I'm sure Chris Matthews has been eager to do for some time now.
what about someones parents? A kid(20-24) is off at college, his parents are paying for it. Then, what's this? My precious Chritian boy is growing illegal drugs in his dorm? And there is a website help him???
I better call the FBI, the police, and all the local, state, and federal media.
Well maybe it wouldn't happen like that exactly.
But I want to inject a bit of what I would consider to be healthy skepticism. As it stands now.
I will make casual posts and nothing more. With that application around, who knows who will end up browsing that thread.
I hope this doesn't all revolve around money, this will hurt users IMHO, it's only a matter of when it will happen. Remove it before it does.
Facebook application is a TERRIBLE idea. PLEASE remove it.

I agree, but I doubt the shroomery had anything to do with it's creation and I doubt they can have it removed.

Anything you post here has always been accessible by everybody in the world so you shouldn't be posting anything you don't want others to see.

You're worried about people finding out about this website?
Isn't the stated purpose of this website to educate people about "magic mushrooms"?
Don't you need the people to come to your website to do it?
This place is huge and is no secret.

as much as i hate FB i hae to agree with madtowntripper on this one. This is a HUGE website as it is, and there are already thousands of people across the WORLD that know about it. A FB application wouldent do any more harm. If your worried about people seeing this that you dont want too.... just filter what you post. Me personally i dont give a fuck who sees this, or anything that i post on here. I dont grow only hunt, and im not stupid enough to post my field loc. on here for the popo to stake me out. I hate FB but it wont be any detriment to the shroomery.

right! thousands of ppl. not millions. were a tiny lil spec on the grand scale. but the more notorized the shroomery gets, the more subject to scrutiny it becomes. althought we'd like the knowledge of our hobby/passsion to be recognized globally/more publicly to help in the fight to decriminalize, were still years away from marijuana being legalized, theyll attack this site like its the devil. and thinking they wont is lying to yourself. they dont care about us few thousand ppl. but when a million ppl are growing mushrooms, they have no other choice but to attempt to put an end to it...

They can fine us for tresspassing, jail us for possession but the reality of the matter is, theyre never going to be able to stop it as a whole. There will always be people who smoke pot, there will always be people who hunt/grow mushrooms. Theyre never going to stop it, theyre locked in a futile " War on Drugs" that they are never going to win, and were on on the advantaged side of this argument due to that fact. So what if gay ass FB is involved, we already have heat on us due to the illicit actions in which we partake. Nothing is going to change.

i cant do this all on my own...
its not so much punish us, but i feel taking something that so many ppl have put so much time and energy into creating, is punishment enough...what would i do with 14 hours of my day if the shroomery were gone???
