 Why Do People Use Myspace?

I can't understand that website for the life of me.
A girl sitting next to me in one of my classes today asked if I had a myspace, I said "I didn't." She was like, "oh" and just kind of became quiet for a few moments. I then replied "I do have a cellphone, would you like my number instead?"
Whatever happened to just calling people?

Back when telephones were a new invention, people probably said "whatever happened to just sending letters?" ...
MySpace is a social networking website. It's convenient, easy to use, and so popular that most of your friends probably already use it -- the same cannot be said about any other comparable internet service. It does make a lot of sense for many people, and for some maybe not so much, but hey, only 5% of the world uses it, after all.

I have one to keep contact with friends and people I know that I don't see on a daily basis. I find it to be very useful in that sense.

I deleted mine and then made one again early last year (school year) because it made it easy to keep touch with my brother who was in Iraq at the time. I still have it but I never use it. It is nice to use Myspace for music though.

Yeah I just use myspace for music keep up on new albums, tour dates and some people who don't live near me anymore.
