anyone have any tips on how to clear up your headlight lens's?? mine are getting hellaciously crappy and need some help.

i saw a method where you apply a clear epoxy with a squeegee, then sand with an extremely light grit, then you polish with a compound...which i cant remember for the life of me. i was too lazy to do all that so i just used polish and a buffing chamois hooked to a cordless drill. it cleared them up a bit.
the plastic headlights get etched like glasses in a dishwasher

yeah, its fucking retarded. my car is only 4 years old and the headlights look like they were on a humvee in iraq since the beginning of the war. 
and i dont feel like paying $100+ each for replacements...... thats the cheapest i could find.

Go to your local body shop or auto paint supply house and buy something called "cutting creme" and use a buffer or sponge and it will strip away a microscopic layer of faded plastic leaving shiny "new looking" plastic.
You can always use this on faded paint as well.
If you use this to strip off faded paint, you need to clear coat what you stripped to protect.

good advice, he can start wit polishing compound to remove much of the haze, then cutting creme and then mirror glaze
