Back in high school, I'd go to sleep at 3:30 every afternoon, as soon as I got home. Get up around midnight to 3 am and go jog five miles, maybe piddle with a little homework, read some Poe or some Vonnegut. Watch some cartoons as the sun comes up. And I'd be wired and full of energy until around 1 pm, when I'd start to fall asleep in class. When you're out on the streets at 3 am, it's like the world is all yours, and no one else is in it. Like Vincent Price, but without the zombies.
