Patheticness of being a Stoner

Today I realized that i've become such a stoner, that on a day when i complete even the most basic daily tasks, such as going to the grocery store, the post office, going to all my classes and doing a homework assignment, i feel like i've made this HUGE accomplishment and that i'm the most productive person in the world.
And then i realize that is what 90% of the human population calls a regular day, and that i'm just THAT lazy.
P.S. I stay high - which is obviously the source of the problem, its just sad that its come down to this.
Anybody else feel super-accomplished when they complete regular-old daily errands?

No, because I dont smoke all day long, everyday
I used to smoke TONS of herb, and I still got stuff done, and I just felt stoned while doing it. Just cause your smoking herb doesn't mean you have to sit around and watch cartoons, what about riding your bike, or hiking in the mountains???
However, when I clean my house up(stoned or not) it makes me feel really good.

So you're saying you don't like feeling good about being productive?

Also I was smoking heavy until a few months ago... then, all of a sudden, I just didnt smoke as much. I didn't try to cut down, or anything.... its just happened. I was more shocked then anyone I know by this turn of events. I still smoke daily. Just not nearly as much.
Maybe its cause my addiction to coffee keeps getting bigger, maybe its just cause I am busy...... but I dont smoke nearly as much herb anymore. and when I do, I get SUPER COOKED

I think it keeps the day more interesting, actually acknowledging chores and feeling rewarded for completing them, instead of just feeling like a robot .

its not so much taht all i do all day is sit on the couch and watch cartoons, i always go to all my classes and do all my homework (i'm on academic scholarship so i can't let my grades fall), also i study better when i'm high.
but apart from that I just go over to my friends house and do the same thing ever day - watch pointless TV (usually from 5pm-whenever i get tired).
Also thanks to our 70degree wweather this january my stoner friends and I have been going on mountain biking expeditions, usually 5-10miles at a time on some moderate trails, it feels great - but we live on the coast of VA so its usually a 45min-1hr drive just to get to the trails, so obviously we can't do it as often as we'd like.
i'm thinking about getting an exercise bike for my living room.

Don't feel bad, i don't smoke at all anymore, but i do still feel like its a big accomplishment when i do some lame everyday errand.

Thats a good idea. And cut out the TV, you yourself said its pointless. Ever play an instrument, jamming is never pointless.

Who's to say that running around mindless is a normal day. To me, what SHOULD be a normal day is smoking weed, hiking, biking, swimming, thinking, reading. All of that other shit is just there to "control" one. We are humans. We aren't here to work jobs. We are here to enjoy life. Unfortunately, we're all fucked into working jobs and all of that other nonsense by our brain dead mass of peers.
To tell you the truth, I wish I could find a way to become self sufficient (farm)(amish~ish). It'd be a lot of hard work, but far more rewarding than a paycheck. Plus, if you want an afternoon off, you can take one. Try getting that whenever you wanted from a boss in the current BS. LAZINESS ROCKS. Fuck "work".

I understand where you are coming from, and I am TRYING to start my own business.
But someone had to grow your food, make your clothes, provide your power, grow your weed. Sure we should all do something better. But then who would do all the things that keep us going as a society?? Someone has to work all these different jobs. Otherwise, you would have to do everything yourself.
Can you really be 100% self sufficient?? I will admit it, I cant. Someone MADE my guitar, and the strings. Someone made the frying pan I used to cook my dinner, and someone grew the mushrooms, and made the bread...... I could take this line of reasoning on forever. Ya dig?

I dig you man. The way I see it is life would be better if we returned to the small community style of living. You all know what I am talking about. No more walmarts. No more big shopping centers. Everyone in town has a job and that's what they do. Sort of like a commune. Anyone else interested??? I've seen 11,000 acres of rain forest in Brazil for $200k american.

The way I look at it too man, with a commune, invite some of the local indigenous people to live for free on the land, provided they add to the community. Shit would be hot man. And think of the herb you could grow there. Perfect climate for some awesome outdoor.

The way I see it, the current arrangements are highly unnatural and I'm fairly sympathetic to those that can't get behind them, regardless of what other people are doing. A satisfying, productive day is when you've accomplished what you want to for the day, whatever that is. The point is, you have to live your life on your terms. You've found the source of some dissatisfaction in yourself. Correct the problem and watch how the whole rest of the system slides into place.

Yeah...but get yourself a nice place on the beach. No straight man can disagree that Brazilian women are some of the finer things in life.
