That's kind of what happens to me; I struggle to stay aware. Dialogue pops into my head about the things I'm seeing and hearing, and it can take over without my noticing.

When I am able to maintain my awareness, I have a blast, but usually I indulge in my mindlessness and have a mediocre time.

Other effects:

- I have trouble speaking. I juxtapose words and even slur a word or two.
- If I'm too high, my insecurities surface in my mind, and sometimes I can't help but feel like shit.
- I get self concious about everything; how I'm standing, what I'm doing with my hands, etc.
- My ears also glow red.

Some of that applies to me, although I haven't smoked in over three months. I hope to change that, and I'm thinking that's gonna change today. I'm going to try to make the best out of it

Depends on how good my shit is. If the first time I got high in a day I took 5 good bong rips of the shit I've been getting lately (pretty good nug) I'd be obliterated for hours, but I've also been trying to limit how much I smoke at a time. It can get really wasteful with the diminishing returns and tolerance you build up.

I just stopped smoking for the last couple weeks, so I'm sure two or three good hits would absolutely destroy me right now. I mean that in a good way! Tolerance is my anti-drug!

In social settings if I get ridiculously high I'll get paranoid, so I normally just take a couple hits. Weird things always seem to happen when I get really high - like my DVD player won't work, CD burner is no longer recognized, bizarre phone numbers ring on my phone, debit card won't work, etc. I'll go back and check these things when I sober up and everything's fine. It's weird.

Same thing with my wife - she almost never gets high, but I made really strong brownies for the Spike and Mike's Twisted Animation Fest and she ate most of one. She got so high she was paranoid she'd trip or make an ass of herself leaving the theater so she tried to hold having to piss off three or four beers for an hour, then went in the lobby and bumped into a close old friend she lost touch with after College who's fairly anti-drug. After the show was over she was too paranoid to meet up with said friend, so now it looks like she blew her off on top of being visibly high. Good times. Meanwhile both my friends who ate a half brownie each passed out before I could even drive their punk-asses home. I ate half before the show and half towards the end and had a blast, but I had some tolerance at that time too.

I ate most of two ounces of mids that week. Because I include the finely ground and sauteed plant matter in the batter my shit was green and smelled like bud for awhile too!
