We bought ours along with all the security stuff, like locks so that they can't remove the wheels and whatnot. Here in the UT area, bike thieves are RAMPANT. My hubby lost his SEAT from his bike at school one day!
There is a bike trail we are going to hit up as soon as we get some helmets. Right now we've just been biking to shops and stuff. I almost died coming home from Blockbuster yesterday. It felt great.
Bikes are great. I wish I had mine.. it got stolen too I only had it for 3 months too.
Yeah you feel the burn... but after a few weeks you'll feel amazing.. the burn wont be as intense.. you'll have more energy overall and just be in better shape.. good stuff.
yeah there's also the sense of accomplishment you get when you reach your destination, as opposed to just staying in the same place on a staionary bike.
When I go out riding, its always for a reason. I don't just ride because its something to do.
I've got a bike. You can ride it if you like. It's got a basket, a bell that rings and Things to make it look good. I'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it.
what kind of bike? I'm an avid bicyclist - I ride everywhere & dont drive. I volunteer with http://www.workingbikes.org if you're in the chicago area, check it out.
we collect used bikes fix 'em up sell 'em cheap & use the proceeds for shipping the bikes overseas to 3rd world party people for free.
Those kryptonite locks are advertised as having insurance on them as well (I think the "fine print" on collecting it may be detailed though).
I ride everywhere. I sank a boatload of money on my bike when I graduated college. I didn't ride for a couple years and regretted it, but now that I'm back into it, it's been an awesome investment.
yeah, they'll give you (I think) $20,000 dollars if someone breaks the lock. You need to register within 10 days of purchase or so along with a receipt that shows the bike's worth (or a certified appraisal from a bike shop). Then if it gets stolen, you send in the police report + your info...and they'll send you the cash.
so, yeah, kroponite-protected bikes dont get stolen
