Greetings from a "newbie"

Hello all, I was really glad to find this board (and website)! I've read all the FAQ and hopefully I wont ask something that wasn't mentioned there.
I recently read "Ploughing the Clouds-The Search for Irish Soma" by Peter Lamborn Wilson and was really fascinated by it. Especially being a practising Druid for the last 6 years, I am really curious to the "religious" aspects of the Amanita muscaria experience. One of the things that I immediately realized was the similarity of the Celtic artwork to the psychedelic artwork of the '60s! Has anybody else realized this, or am I imagining it?
I've tried "shrooms" at various times (not really sure which kind they were unfortunately ) over the last 15 or so years and sad to say, NEVER had any effect (especially when compared to LSD).
Here's my question (again, hopefully I'm not asking anything "wrong"): I am really curious to try Amanita muscaria in a "religious setting" and don't really know how to go about it (I mean the actual "obtaining" it, not the "religious" part). Is it something that is best "found" (I didn't see it listed in Georgia as a native mushroom), best grown, or best purchased online?
Thanks in advance for any input, this looks like a great source of valid information!

Welcome to the boards.
Purchase it online. Many places sell it.
Also, make sure to stop by Off-Topic Discussion board. It's fun.

Welcome! I think you'll find Psilocybin mushrooms a lot better than Aminitas. I've never tried Aminita, but that's what I've heard.

Nuther question... If you buy online, how can you make sure you are getting the "real deal"? I found the "iamshaman" site and they seem pretty cool.
