 I took a walk today & cop went crazy on me

This is seriously messed up. I never been stopped by a cop like this before.
OK today I took a walk with an ipod, cigs, bandanna on my head, fly fishing rod, and a small knife for cutting the line since you don't use squilves for flies.
OK so the day starts out great, sunny, nice music, thinking of my true love........so I walk on the side of the road to get exercise about a mile to the river. I fish for about 2 hours, in a fishing park that you're allowed to fish at.
I leave, I'm walking on the side of the road listening to my music and happy as hell. All of a sudden I see two cops roll by and go past me, I thought nothing of it. OK so I'm almost near my house, but on a different street walking on the sidewalk. All of a sudden I seen a cop stop behind me, I didn't even think he stopped because of me, because I did nothing wrong, had no drugs, nothing. Cigs if you consider that illegal.
So he stops and says "FREEZE, PUT YOUR HANDS UP!" he twists my body around really hard and starts pushing me around like I'm a punching bag. He touches my nuts, ass, and asks me if I have any weapons. I said, yes, a small knife for fishing.......he takes my bandanna, cigs, ipod and rips it off me and THROWS it on the ground. he then tells me to take my jacket off which he checks inside the lining and THROWS it in the mud.
OK, so now he puts me in the 90 degree small back of the cop car. He asked me if I was "walking through backyards" I said no. he said "you're lying" first of all I was in a park fishing where you're allowed to fish...........I was on the SIDE of the road and never walked on anyones lawn. He said tell me the truth about 700 times and then he asked me if i "yelled at someone, and went crazy" I'm like No I did none of that.
So now I tell him my address which is down the street and he said You're lying. I told him to show me the house I walked in the backyard he refused. He said 3 people reported me. I told him to come to my house and he still said it wasn't my address about 900000 times.
Then he said "would you like someone looking as crazy as you walking around with a bandanna on" I'm like, so what you're saying is I'm lying and i said Why am I crazy for wearing a bandanna....he was silenced. never said anything.
OK now he checked my wallet, accused me of having a FAKE fishing license. he then said "where are your fishing boots, how are you going to fish without them?" I'm like, i just fish on the side of the river or let the line travel downstream. He doesn't believe me and says he's uncle is a pro fishing man and you cant do that without boots. He then says I stoled this rod from the backyard and says "I'm coming to your house if I get a report that someones fishing rod is stolen"
Then he calls backup...for what? I have no idea. I was sitting in the 90 degree smelly shitty cop car and I see 5! cops roll up. all old men and they talked to me too........they weren't assholes like him......they really didn't say much actually.
OK he took all my cigs out, opened them, smelled them. he had my take my shoes off to check under the shoes and everywhere.
OK so eventually after all those old cops stop talking to me he asks what I do for a living. I said I make websites and the old cop says "OH YOU'RE A WEBMASTER" and he then asks me how much I make, I told him 1k+ a day. He said "damn you make more then us combined I wish i could do that"
Then he has me come out the car, gets in my face with his smelly breath and talks STILL saying I'm lying about everything. I was talking to him and looked AWAY for a second because I don't like staring it's not only rude but his breath smelled.
Then he said goodbye, u can go now. & shook my hand. he stayed in the same spot and never moved I never seen him leave until I went up in my driveway.
What the hell? I guess you cannot walk in America anymore without cops treating you like a criminal and breaking all Ur shit.
I guess I have to just sit in my room all my life , if I go outside with a bandanna cops will eventually arrest me for doing nothing.
He said he will press charges if I do this again, do what? I never did anything what the fuck?
my ipod is scratched, my jacket is ripped, my cigs are gone.
why do I deserve this, just because I'm happy listening to music minding my own business?
I guess he made it all up because I seen NO ONE outside at all. Maybe he made it up just to catch me with drugs because i look gangsta. I don't know. whatever. I'm not really mad. he's just tripping
throughout this all, the young guys hands were shaking like a leaf
what the hell ?
Should I report him for fucking all my shit up and accusing me of doing stuff I never did?

This is the craziest thing that ever happend to me. He was about as smart as a brain damaged lab rat

He also said 4 people reported me "going in backyards and going crazy" WTF? I never seen ANYONE OUTSIDE

So I guess all my life I have to be a hermit and sit in my room until i die.
If I go outside wearing a bandana and headphones I'll eventually be arrested for something I never did to begin with = \

Of course you should report him... he damaged your property. The police department is liable for having it fixed or replaced.
Not to mention the fact that he illegally detained you and may have denied you some of your rights.
From the sounds of it, he may be the worst non-crooked cop I've ever heard of.

That sounds gay.
The same shit happens to me.
I've been searched at least 3 times just for walking around my neighborhood.
Cops often try and act like I know something, to see what I'll say.
They will say something like "so what kind of stuff did you steal in the recent robberies that have been going on around here" and things like that.
I don't steal anything or cause any kind of damage when I'm walking through the neighborhood. I don't even have a strange appearance or anything that would make me stand out. They just single people out (especially ones that are alone) for no reason.
It's happened a couple times in the afternoon, but usually it's late night.
Seeing me walking down the street at 3am or something, they usually stop me and search. 
I guess they are looking for stolen items or drugs.

If that ever happens again, you might want to take a more confrontational defense against it.
Inquire if you are being detained, demand to know why, and if they cannot give a clear answer then they do not have the authority to keep you.
If they act cagey, make sure they know they're going to get reported if they violate your rights, and make sure they know that you know your rights and know when they are violating them.
A cop who wants to keep his job is not likely to run around illegally detaining people and violating their rights if he knows they are going to report him.

WHAT! He didn't even give you a chance to refuse search, it seems. Just threw your stuff off and hucked you into the car. It is important to always state that you do not consent to any warrantless searches. He can search for weapons, but that is all. Anything he asks you to do is just that - a request. He can give some commands like "please stand over here", but never throw your ipod and jacket off.
That is insane!

Don't take shit from cops if you didn't do anything. It gives you the right to be a bit of an asshole because in the end, you're innocent.
I'd deffinately go right down to the station and file a written complaint. Request to talk to the the top cop on duty.
Write a letter to the mayor of your town.
You've got to do something
If you just let that slide, you're no better than the cop who assaulted you.

It really does look like he throws his own head against the glass.
And the cop doesn't answer any questions because they're bugging him at his own house while he's off-duty.
