I wouldn't say "alternate" dimensions. I would say that there are more transcendant levels of reality which we are unaware of in our normal state, but can access through psychedelics, meditation, astral projection, etc.

I wouldn't say you "hallucinate fake stuff", since those experiences are real expressions of the subconscious mind, but I don't think there's more spiritual dimensions.
There may be more physical dimensions, as in string theory, but I'm pretty sure that's not what you're talking about.

i think that when we see this "hallucinations" we are really opening another part of our mind that allows us to see how the world seems through our inner thoughts and not our eyes. thats why if you start to have a bad trip you can often pull your self into a better one with good thoughts. simple ideology.

I agree that psychedelics open the subconscious, and that that's what you're experiencing while tripping, but I also think that the subconscious picks up on things that are not perceptible to the five senses or the conscious mind.

i voted the yes one, but i only agree with the first part:
Yes, there are many worlds and no one true reality,
disagree with this statement:
places we go on psychedelics are all real

I say yes, because the world only exists as we experience it so if the experience changes then so does the world.

If "reality" is everything that we can see, feel, taste, smell and touch, then how can anyone say that the things one experiences in the psychedelic state aren't real?

Psychedelics i think bring us to view things differently, like experience the world but not through a humans perspective.

I say yes. The eyes, ears, skin, etc. abstract something into direct experience, and then we use the intellect to build functional maps useful for doing things in this "something". Due to the fact that we only experience abstractions or measurements of "something else", when we talk about science, wisdom, philosophy, etc., we don't talk about "reality", we talk about elements of maps. By elements of maps I don't mean words; words abstract abstractions. The question of whether "something else" is single or multiple becomes meaningless.

maybe its not alternate or separate but simply the same reality on a different level of the informational spectrum. for instance for a while we couldn't detect infrared light.

Pippin: I didn't think it would end this way.
Gandalf: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path . . . one that we must all take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass...
Gandalf: ...And then you see it.
Pippin: What, Gandalf? See what?
Gandalf: White shores . . . and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise.
Pippin: Well, that isn't so bad.
Gandalf: [Softly:] No... No it isn't.

Hmm. I'd like to see this thread with the options:
Yes, and I've smoked DMT. No, and I've smoked DMT.
Yes, and I haven't smoked DMT. No, and I haven't smoked DMT.

You don't think LSD is as useful in seeing these supposed other "worlds" than smoked DMT? And what about ayahuasca? Why restrict the method of usage?
Epiphanies are epiphanies, and supposedly they should hold constant across many categories if they are reflective of the truth. On LSD I've hallucinated far-away shadows in the woods morphing into silhouettes of people watching me from behind the trees, I've witnessed the expressions of the facial features of trees and could realize their experience through touching them, but do you think smoked DMT is that much more important than any other psychedelic experience?

they only exist if you have the capacity to understand that they exist and psychedelics are the door.
