where's the somewhat option?
i put no. especially because you asked do you ever tell people that you are wise, enlightened or the most amazing person. nobody is better than anyone else. we're all just humans. we're all on the path to enlightenment, some people are further along than others, but who's to say who's further than who? it's an individual path, shouldnt really compare yourself to other people.

Do people tell me I am? Ya, I guess. Am I enlightened? No, but I'm working on it.

Enlightenment means something different to everyone. Some Jehova's Witnesses came to my door last week and told me they were trying to enlighten me and I told them I was already enlightened. They have theirs, I have mine.

Right, anyone can declare it but the real test is the extent to which you make people say WOW!

What matters to me is bieng on a path of enlightenment. I dont really know what it means to 'be' enlightened so I voted no. I guess to me enlightenment has more to do with the instant and process of learning or growing instead of a state of bieng.
Enlghtenment seems to come in moments and spurts for me. Maybe moments of enlightenment followed by periods of reflection.
I am still in school and this seems to be similar to my life style as a student learnign 'regular' stuff.
-------------------- Behold yon miserable creature. That Point is a Being like ourselves, but confined to the non-dimensional Gulf. He is himself his own World, his own Universe; of any other than himself he can form no conception; he knows not Length, nor Breadth, nor Height, for he has had no experience of them; he has no cognizance even of the number Two; nor has he a thought of Plurality; for he is himself his One and All, being really Nothing. Yet mark his perfect self-contentment, and hence learn his lesson, that to be self-contented is to be vile and ignorant, and that to aspire is better than to be blindly and impotently happy.

No, everbody that comes into being is another chance to be the best that ever was. And, hell, that is a damn lot of people every second, of every minute of all time.
