 Tip-off leads to cannabis factory [UK]

A cannabis factory with about 200 plants has been found in a rented house within 30 minutes of a tip-off to Gwent Police.
Police estimated the factory at the three-bedroom property in Roman Way, Caerleon, could have produced drugs worth £100,000 a year on the street.
Mature plants and hydroponic growing equipment were found in a downstairs living room and two upstairs bedrooms.
Police say no arrests have been made and inquiries are continuing.
Sgt Jim Neesam said: "We had entered the house within half-an-hour of receiving information from a member of the public.
"We will now begin investigating details surrounding this cannabis factory."
Insp Rod Grindlay said: "This is one of a number of cannabis factories that have been located within the Newport area over the last 12 to 18 months.
"We would ask for continued vigilance from the public.
"People should report any suspicious activity, such as strong smells or windows and curtains always being closed, to their local neighbourhood policing team."

Factory, eh? Yeah, I used to have a small vegetable factory when I was a child. I manufactured green beans, carrots, and pumpkins in my factory. It was just a small factory in the corner of the yard, but still a good learning experience. My family are mostly factory workers. They manufacture wheat mostly, but also manufacture chicken eggs and milk as well. It is unfortunate that large scale industrial factories are taking over the small family owned factories that America was built upon.

What the hell are UK journalists trying to do with this "factory" nonsense? Its like they are trying to convince people that weed isn't a natural herb that has grown from the ground for as long as people have walked the earth, but a dangerous new substance "manufactured" in "factories" called "skunk". Do they not realize that their target audience that eats this shit up is going to be dead in 10 years because they are so old and out of the loop leaving all the people who read these articles now to laugh them off in the future? Seriously. This is like a tabloid article.
Its like they are making up a new drug and trying to make it synonymous with weed. If you cant beat a real drug, confuse all the old people with a fake drug that they will mistake the real drug for.
