Marijuana seized in traffic stop
State police discovered a trunk full of marijuana after stopping a car with Tennessee registration Tuesday on Interstate 81 near Carlisle.
Andre Miller, 24, of Marietta, Ga., was committed to Cumberland County Prison on drug charges, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle.
Police stopped Miller for speeding at 9:09 a.m. Tuesday near mile marker 49 in South Middleton Township, state police said. When police searched the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, they found 100 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $150,000 in the trunk.
Miller was traveling from the Bronx, N.Y., to Marietta, Ga.
