Hillsborough student arrested for dealing marijuana

Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne J. Forrest and Hillsborough Police Chief Paul Kaminsky state that on Jan. 29 a two month narcotics investigation conducted by the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force and the Hillsborough Township Police Department resulted in the arrest of a 16-year-old male Hillsborough High School student and the seizure of approximately quarter pound of marijuana, as well as $1,788 in cash and drug packaging materials.
Forrest stated that the investigation began when police received information that the juvenile was selling marijuana in Hillsborough. The investigation led to the issuance of a state Superior Court search warrant for the juvenile's residence.
On Jan. 29, Task Force Detectives and members of the Hillsborough Township Police Department executed the search warrant on the juvenile's residence. From the juvenile's bedroom, police seized approximately a quarter pound of marijuana packaged for redistribution in baggies of varying sizes, $1,788 in cash, numerous empty baggies in varying sizes and a BB gun from which the stock had been sawed-off.
Following the execution of the search warrant, the juvenile was taken into custody, charged with third degree possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and disorderly persons possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in juvenile detention.

No wonder it took the cops 2 months to gather up the courage to take on this dangerous kid.

I grew up in this town, and I have to say, I'm shocked they caught him at all.
I always see Hillsbourough on these news articles, but like every state has a Hillsborough. I'm not going to lie. It's sort of exciting that finally it's my 'Boro.

Someone should do an investigation on tax money. 2 months!!! Are you kidding me!!! If they really wanted to make a difference all they had to do is scare the kid and tell him that they are on to him.. saved 2 months salary, medical and pension for a whole "task force" and I guarantee he would have stopped selling.. it happened to a friend of mine. Scared him straight.
Here we are in a recession in the USA, TAXES ARE SKY HIGH and we are funding this BS.
I'm just fed up.
