DEC 4 -- Boston, MA . . . A Massachusetts State Trooper was charged in U.S. District today with cocaine distribution.

June W. Stansbury, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration - New England Field Division; United States Attorney Michael J. Sullivan; Colonel Mark Delaney, Superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police;and Warren T. Bamford, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation - New England Field Division, announced the indictment of JOHN T. FOLEY, age 62, of Highland Avenue in Saugus, Massachusetts charging him with distribution of cocaine. FOLEY is assigned to the Revere State Police Barracks and has been a member of the State Police since October, 1971.

United States Attorney Michael Sullivan said, "The allegations against Mr. Foley are an affront to every decent, honest member of the Massachusetts State Police, who serve the public’s interest and do their jobs with dedication and integrity. I would like to acknowledge the commitment and cooperation of the Massachusetts State Police and Colonel Delaney in this investigation. All of us in law enforcement are committed to investigating and expending the resources necessary to prosecuting corruption wherever we find it."

“It is always disheartening when a law enforcement officer betrays his solemn oath of office by committing a criminal act. Not only has he dishonored himself, but he has wantonly betrayed Troopers who risk their lives every day, enforcing the very laws he so willfully violated,” stated Colonel Mark F. Delaney

“DEA follows investigations wherever they lead us in this case to a drug dealing police officer, an embarrassment to an honorable agency,” said Special Agent in Charge Stansbury. “Crimes committed by police officers undermine the confidence of the people they took an oath to protect and smear the reputations of police officers who every day put their lives on the line. We will always investigate with fervor a sworn officer who has compromised honor by trafficking in drugs.”

If convicted FOLEY faces up to 20 years in jail, a $1,000,000 fine, three years of supervised release and a $100 special assessment.

The case resulted from an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration's Tactical Diversion Squad, Lynn Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police.

First, I want to say, this is more proof the state police are really a federal republican guard, and not real states men. DEA investigating where the usual IA sting could of handled the job just fine.

Secound. Why dont these DEA people go after the big one. Theres an airfield in MA that everyone knows about. Everything gets flown in to it. Secound what about Bill Clinton getting well known cocaine smuggler Berry Seale off the hot seat many times. Lets not forget the george bush Heroin shipments. After bush jr took office I saw more heroin on the streets than ever before.

I gues this lone Coke man wasnt setup with the right supplier.

The only good Fed is the one thats dead.

Where holding a dopeathon to purchase anti aircraft guns, and land mines for all the growers out there. Death to Fraternal Order of Dicks.

Blaze EM!!!!
