BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement made its biggest marijuana confiscation yet last weekend and notified the public Wednesday afternoon.
Officers stopped a semi-trailer on Interstate 65 near Bowling Green for a safety inspection Sunday night.
During their investigation, the officers discovered the truck was carrying 1,400 pounds of marijuana. Police said the haul was worth about $2.8 million.
The truck was headed from Houston to Cleveland.
Two men, originally from Jamaica, were arrested and charged with marijuana trafficking and possession of narcotics.
