 School Gets Mysterious Marijuana Package

A school principal received a surprise delivery of 12 pounds of marijuana from a mysterious sender whose address was traced to a vacant lot in California, police said.
The package was addressed to Joan "Pinserton," a misspelling of the principal's name, Pinkerton. It was delivered Thursday to the Kent Primary School by Federal Express. Pinkerton was immediately suspicious because of a strong odor from the box.
The principal had the box moved to the rear of the school property and an X-ray taken by the bomb squad determined the package wasn't a threat, police Lt. Alex DiVernieri said. Police opened it and found the marijuana, he said.
The return label contained a woman's name and a Gardena, Calif., address but police there said the address turned out to be a vacant lot, and the woman did not exist.

That's a funny joke but its TWELVE POUNDS. Maybe if it was an ounce it'd be kinda funny but TWELVE POUNDS. Jesus.

I really wonder what the intent was behind this incident. Was it some idiot thinking they could get the principal in trouble by sending pot to her? Surely not, as twelve pounds of pot would cost quite a bit of cash. Even twelve pounds of schwag is going to run you well over a few grand.

Yeah 12 pounds bought off the street would run you quite a bit. Although, if someone found some ditch weed and sent it to get her in trouble then the cops would not differentiate between hemp and kind since pot is pot in their eyes...

That's what I said. He only turned it in because he was afraid he was going to get busted.
Either that or a local cop set up the send so that he could make off with the twelve pounds...

and i still dont
but maby it was actually a cop who sent it.... so he could give his buddies a little present..... without having to transport it himself..
and i find it suspicous that the mailing people he used werent suspicous about a 12 pound package with a strong odor

there was this thing on the news about a cop in charge of narcotics not holding records on what they have, he was suspended just for 3 weeks. they were showing inside the drug warehouse and there must of been millions of pounds of everything in there.
