LATROBE, Pa. -- A Westmoreland County man faces charges for allegedly giving a marijuana-laced cookie to a co-worker.
Ronald L. Thompson, 50, of Latrobe, gave the cookie to a 64-year-old woman during a work break at Westmoreland Plastics last month, Latrobe police said.
The woman said she had no idea there was marijuana baked inside the cookie.
She told police that she became ill and disoriented when she left work. She drove around for a while, then parked her car and called for help, and was treated at a hospital for a marijuana overdose, police said.
Police searched Thompson's apartment and found four more marijuana cookies, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Thompson faces charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver.

 overdose....wow. Those must have been the worlds best cookies...plus I would think that the pigs would say any amount is an overdose.

Well, marijuana can cause undesirable effects for people with certain ailments, doesn't smoking weed constrict the blood vessels? Problems there....

Dosing someone with anything, including weed agains there will is not cool. The lady could have gotten in a car accident. Sounds like she at least had a very unplesant experience, what with the hospital visit, and all.
The dude got what was coming to him. Gives us all a bad name.

Unexpected highs could be frightening to someone who doesn't smoke, and so doesn't know what is happening to them. They could think they're poisoned or sick, since they have no recollection of encountering anything that should change their consciousness. This could in turn cause health problems for them by merit of the fear and associated stress. Not cool.
Turn people on the right way, by choice!

I have to agree, but must share an anecdote about a buddy of mine...
About 3 A.M. about 5 years ago I get a call from my buddy Ben. He's in jail and wants me to bail him out, seems he's been charged with Tampering with a consumer product. Ben was the night manager at Whataburger in The Colony, Texas. He noticed a uniformed dispatch officer drive around and order for what he assumed (correctly) was the entire police night shift.
He put a little extra green in their taquitos.
Funniest shit in the world, too bad he got busted, but man... That's street cred for life.
