Habitat: found in the woods - found in wood chips near some ivy. in a very forested area surrounded by marshes and wetlands. typical washington undergrowth
Gills: white - light tan - some areas are a light chocolate color, the gills are tightly packed and barely seperated.
Stem: roughly 2-3 inches, with an average deviation of roughly an inch - they are roughly the diameter of a pen, white with just a hint of tan - they feel pretty meaty when i pinch them, i'd say they're a bit on the thick side.
Cap: Roughly 2-2.5 inches in diameter, wavy caps, the edges flare up to the sky [suppose that'd be concave from my vantage point], they are a caramel color which fades to a tannish white at the very edge of the cap.
Spore print color: i'm making a spore print at the moment - if there's anything about the information or photos i've provided that would disprove these being cyanescens then yeah i'll forget about it but until then it's gonna be a bit Bruising: have not noticed any bruising - yet Other information:

sorry about the crappy closeups, my camera won't take nice close ones. i'll try and take a few more

Close but no cigar. You should see very noticeable bruising, the stems will not be very thick, and pure white. Gills will be tan when mature, a lighter tan when young.

Gymnopus dryophilus. Not active, not a very good edible either.

I found one of these under a rhododendron in some bark in my front yard. I thought it was a cyan too.

Damn you got very close for your first time looking.
I believe I found them before, too. Yes, they're edible, but they'll make your stomach and GI tract "quake" for a couple hours until you shit out water....lol.
