Inky Caps??
    #8670226 - 07/23/08 01:48 AM (4 months, 8 days ago)

I found these mushrooms just after it rained so Im not sure if that is the reason they were so "inky" or if they are inky caps.  Any responses are appreciated.

Habitat:
Hay-Dung,  Northeast USA

Gills:
Not attached to stem, very moist (inky)

Stem:
Hollow, white

Cap:
Conical, Beige, Slimy

Spore print color:
Black

Bruising:
None

Thanks!

That piece of paper must be covered in black goo right about now.

They're probably Coprinus cinereus.
