Found these in weilii habitat fescue grass with clay soil on the edge of the woodline. Spore print is purple brown bluing at the base. Long but sturdy stipe with white edges on the gills.

I looked at Atlantis, but the season is early fall...That doesn't mean you didn't find them though. Maybe some kind of deformed Psilocybe caerulescens. I'm guessing I've told you like 100 times I'm not good with this yet. This is just a guess.

There seem to have been two unidentified psilocybes in Georgia. Maybe you find one?

Not caerulescens. Likely to be Atlantis.

I agree, those long stipes are very characteristic of Ps. atlantis.

They are only bruising at the base of the stipe, and not all of them blued but they are all from the same group of clusters and have purple/brown prints. I know without a doubt they are all the same species.

Dry them, save the collection for research. weilii when you find things like this, make it more accurate. They could possibly be more then one species, or at least the same species different *individuals* from different networks of mycelium. Bring lots of paper lunch bags, photograph groupings of shrooms in a small area like growing within a foot or less of eachother, harvest, lay mushrooms on paper bag with a ruler, photograph again, put mushrooms in bag, write down the photo numbers and collection data (blue bruising, habitat, photo number, date, ect). One shroom at a time even. Match the photos exactly by number, make lots of seperate collections, your own private Georgia shroom herbarium with relatively concise data/collections to send to people and herbariums for deposit and research. Get How To Identify Mushrooms to Genus I: Macroscopic Features. Less then ten dollars used at amazon. Use the first chapter to describe the macro features of your finds in great detail. Get that book. Those mushrooms kick ass. If you find something like this again, try to do like I described and I know someone who would love to illustrate the macro and microscopic features for you with great care.

Ok, my cam died so i couldn't get many pics but i know they are all the same species for sure they all have the same caps, prints, and stipes. The ones that blued blued intensely but only about 1/5 up the stipe. I always take a paper bag with me been doing that for a while so no worries there, its kinda hard too get habitat pics with tons of people around but oh well ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I just bring my Audubon society guide and if anybody asks i just say im identifying a mushrooms and people laugh and leave me alone.

The first patch was in plain old clay soil with no grass, the new one is in clay soil covered in fescue grass. Does anybody know the dosage on these?
