ID request - NSW Club Mushroom

Hi can anyone ID these mushrooms for me please? They're similar to Clavaria or even Cordyceps but i doubt they're Cordyceps. I don't have any experience with these types..

Habitat: Leaf litter and woodchips
All the other details should be in the photos..

They produce a rotting smell that attracts flies and dogs and anything else that likes that type of smell!
The one I posted is Mutinus curtus, I have also seen some that are a red!
