hello all this mushrooms where found in nicaragua in the localitie of the volcan Consepcion, Masaya.in the ranch El nisperal in 750 meter above sea level in vegetation of mountain cloud forest

this second specimen was found in a lower elevation in open clear cut area.at 500 meters.

the first is maybe dyctiophora indusiata and the second some label as that too but clearly is not that and manu are mislabel , i relly love is some with experience in the phallarales can give me information or any report about central america, there are more studies in costa rica, than in Nicaragua
we also found this rare specimen until now i dont know what it is , maybe aplant or a mushroom.
this is a picture of the microscopic structures maybe an ascos . where spore are produce

all my best vibrations i really help all information people could provide, from central america, and relative studies or id, thanks

The first ones are indeed Phallus indusiatus. The colour differences represent phenotypic variations. They are the same species.

yeah I've never had the pleasure, heh of finding phallus in the wild, I dont think they fruit this far north, that last one however is very interesting, you're right it almost looks like a plant kinda, with maybe a seed pouch ontop, I would advise disecting that top part, see what you can find, maybe you'll find a pair of lungs and maybe a stomach of some kind. :O

there most be some taxonomic variabilities on this even all the place i look list d. indusiata as the same with diferent variations i said this because , the firt one look more like the classic d. i. and smell prety bad as all , but the second specimen have some diferences, does not smell bad in fact smell good , the firt specie atracct flyes but the second atracct a diferent insect some tipe of no sting bee , and make think about the propieties of this mushrooms because i have see this bees in many orchids before and the reason they visit orchids is because the male , need the pherormone to reproduce and they gater the esence in the lower part of the legs in special sacs that they collect the pherormone , so this mushrooms is very diferent to the other even the insect can tell , i keep wondering if is true that about you know that story , becasue clearly in many part of the world there are many variations in this mushrooms and clearly no good study are about then ,maybe in few years many species that are group in the same category of d. indusiata will move to another specie, but for know i guees is the correct nomenclature . believe me if i have not smell it myself i will not believe they do not stink.and the other atract fly even from distance , the women that live near there told me she pull all the eggs because she can not stand the smell , but for the other she had no complaint so maybe there is some strage thing going on there here is a bigger picture so you can apreciate the bees .

and more microscopic observation of the 3 third specimen , a cut of the roots
vertical cut
 longitudinal cut

and now some of the cap

cool, the bee theory is fascinating. That is such a terrestrial looking mushroom.

haha , haha
i did not , but i wonder why the women that leave there dont kick this ones and do for the other that smell bad , but then i realized there was no television there and at nigh may be the only entertaiment with her husband or someone else .
but the bees got me wondering if is true that are some races of this mushrooms that can have some sort of pheromones , after all is supost to affect women not men .
all my best vibrations could some one help me with the last one .

The aptly named Stinkhorn fungi rely on carrion-loving insects for spore-dispersal. One thing common to all Stinkhorns is the production of spores in a foul-smelling, khaki to brownish slime. You can see this spore-bearing slime at the top of this Dictyophora multicolor . The smell is a powerful attractant of various flies and midges. In some other Stinkhorns, such as Anthurus archeri and Aseroë rubra , there is an additional colour cue. The red in these Stinkhorns looks much like freshly exposed meat.
In tropical America stingless bees in the genus Trigona have been seen collecting the exudates (and possibly spores) from stinkhorns in the genera Dictyophora and Phallus. Entomologists studying these examples found no exudate or spores on the bodies of the bees, strongly suggesting that the bees swallowed the exudate and spores. Presumably the bees include spores in their diet. It is also possible that at least some spores will pass, undigested, through the bees - in which case the bees would act as dispersal agents for the fungi.
hehe look what i found here http://www.cpbr.gov.au/fungi/ecology-invertebrates.html
