Need ID Confirmation, Nova Scotia: pan foe, con alb, and?
    #8679769 - 07/25/08 09:58 AM (4 months, 6 days ago)

Hey Folks, I was hoping to get input on these IDs.

Found near the side of the building.  I suspect it is conocybe albipes.  The spore print is a very light brown.

Found in a graveyard.  I suspect it is pan foe granted the stems are very small and do not exhibit the appropriate striations.  More importantly, the spore print is a dark brown but not jet black.  Thus pan foe.

Found on a horsing race track, so the probability is high that there is dung mixed with soil.  Spore print is brown. No bruising. As you can tell there is clustering. Perhaps, umm, stropharia ?

1) Conocybe albipes
2) Panaeolina foenisecii, nice ridges on the cap of that one
3) Stropharia sp., maybe S. coronilla, I am not sure which species are most common around dung.
4) Agrocybe sp.

Nice spore prints!

Hi Alan, cheers.  I must dig up my microscope to really experience the spores for the first time =)  If I recall correctly, I think it had an output for a TV or monitor.  So perhaps I will be able to obtain some images which would be neat.

Thanks again.
