First Hunt in North Texas Successful!

Hey everyone, new to the forums!
Anyways, I got interested in mushroom hunting about a week or so ago. It has rained here in the DFW area twice in the past four days, so I decided to go hunt!
I guess I had beginners luck! I found ONE mushroom!

I found it on a pathway in the middle of some forest. Its about 2 and 1/2 inches tall, cap is (was) about 1 inch in diameter. This mushroom is very fragile. Stem is white, and hollow. I could not tell anything about the gills or cap since it was paper thin. I guess the cap was dark brown. No spore print.
Any IDs?
Sorry for the bad pictures, used my camera phone.

You have a Coprinellus species. Maybe Parasola. Keep looking.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. There are a LOT of cow/horse fields in the area. What do I tell the owners of the land though? "Hey, I'm looking for some mushrooms for my science summer project..."
Sound good enough?

texas farmers arent dumb, they know what your looking for
so either say your looking for mushrooms to study, or photography, or fishing
 look for the gold caps
if they are old and have been in the sun look for the pale yellow caps

here is a pictorial i did up for noobs http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/8045055/an/0/page/0
