Just some cacti porn. Image Heavy
    #8510452 - 06/11/08 08:17 AM (3 months, 24 days ago)

Here are some pics I thought everyone might enjoy.

Lophophora Williamsii - About a year old, recently dug up by a bird :mad2:. I managed to find 2 of the 3 before the sun nuked em' to death, the bird tore the root off of the other one. I guess I'll graft it.:

Lophs Close-up:

Some odd looking Trichocereus. Labeled as Perevianus when I bought the seeds 4yrs ago, but we all know the trouble with that classification. They're actually 2 1/2 yrs. old, but I neglected them a lot(kinda had an opiate prob. which interfered in my gardening). They were left inside, which is the reason I think they are so small and have pupped so profusely(searching for light).:

This one is getting top heavy:

Growth shoot:

Together and doing well now that they have a sober person to take care of them lol:

Copiapoa Hypogea, also was neglected and started to stretch so I had to cut stretching top. It's pupping nicely now.:

Cop. It's growing about four pups and is really taking off in growth now that I'm treating it like I should have been all along:

Close-up on the largest pup:

Same Copiapoa two years ago when it was flowering during the fall:

This is my neighbors but it's a nice picture of a healthy cactus:

Saguaro:

Some form of Opuntia:

San Pedro in my old garden(I really miss it, this rental house I'm currently in isn't very good for my hobby):

I'm not sure what kind of Opuntia this is, but it's naturally cristate.:

Seems to grow monstrose forms as well as cristate forms:

Oh and here is are some pictures of the Loph. I grafted as a seedling to the areole of another Cacti(some form of  stenocereus I think, but I'm not sure of that).Unfortunately this graft died from an orange rot infection. I was very very sad when that happened, but these pics. are in the height of its glory:

Some Desert Quail pics just for fun:

Well that's it, hope you've enjoyed the pictures. Have a great day shroomerites!

Thanks Royer

cpw - Yeah they do look strange being so small with so many pups and such large tops. They were inside for too long, and once I gave them sun and ferts, they grew very bulbous heads. I like the spiral look too. I wish I had cared for them properly...The tip on the spiral one simply became too small from stretching and I had to cut it off. I really would have liked to see if the spiral growth would have continued into adulthood. It's nice not to be in a constant opiate haze, I'm able to garden again.
