A sick Peyote

Growing a pair of Peyote from cuttings. One is looking just fine, and is sprouting a new root, while the root it is took from seems to be doing well enough too.
However, the other cacti is forming yellow spots and looking very shrivelled and generally unhealthy. Any tips on how to make it not die?
