Plant ID? Please.
    #8412663 - 05/17/08 12:29 PM (6 months, 12 days ago)

I am not sure if this is the right forum or not. Sorry.

This plant, shrub or whatever it is has been growing in my backyard for as long as I can remember. One of my friends didn't know what it was, but swore up and down that it was poisonous. Recently, my cat has been trying to eat the leaves on it. Does anyone know what it is? It is much appreciated.

Hi man, I´m not sure about it´s popular name in english but these plants are indeed poisonous, they have this irritating/toxic latex, you should keep your cat away from these.

I thought maybe I had got lucky and had something that would make for a good time. Sigh

Are posts like these okay or is there a forum specifically for plant identification? I could've sworn I saw one. The reason I ask is cause I found an extremely weird looking plant. It's red, no leaves just flower heads, and hairy and glistening all over...

It looks like Oleander and they are very poisonous.
