New MONSTER Pedro Added To Collection(Pics)
    #8385354 - 05/10/08 01:41 PM (6 months, 19 days ago)

Just got 2 new Pedros in the mail... Originally planned on consuming these two cuttings, but due to the size and quality I am forced to root them and hold off on the consumption.

The smaller cutting sitting in the window sill is nowhere near as impressive, not worth consuming on its own.

The big one is my first 8 ribbed Pedro... it is HUGE... 3 times the girth of most of my other cacti. It measures a nice 14"'s.

You can see how big my pup has gotten on the cactus on the right... about a month ago I posted a pic of it and also made it my avatar... so you can really see how fast it has taken off

Let me know what you think about the collection so far

Cool but looks like they need more sun.

The sun is just starting to come out here in OR... they all look much better than when I got them... Also the flash was on for those shots... probably brought out some brighter colors.

All of them have roots that are in pots... but only one is being watered so far. The one that has roots and is being watered is a VERY healthy olive green color... so is its pup... In this south facing window, so far light has not been an issue.

Very nice, indeed. I envy your collection!

The eight ribbed Pedro reminds me a bit of my penis.

The pup is coming along quite nicely. I can't wait to see it get even larger.

Sir Gibbyson and Master Klintoris, like myself, must be proud of your cacti collection!

Thanks for posting pictures. Please keep us updated on further growth and new adoptions.
