yet another commercial cactus ID
    #8308805 - 04/20/08 08:27 PM (7 months, 8 days ago)

hey everyone, this is my first post in the Ethno garden. I didn't notice a link for rules on cacti ID's so, I'll just post the pics. Sorry that they were all automatically resized. Hopefully there is enough info in them to make a proper ID.

By the way, all three of these cactus pots were labeled with Sorensen Greenhouse inc. barcode stickers.

cool, thanks. It appears that the stetsonia has small amounts of mesc. Probably not enough to be worthwhile though. I guess then I'll simply watch these cacti grow.
Just a note on identification...I've been IDing fungi for just over a year, and it seems quite easy with a guide in hand(or through the internet). That is, IDing the ones that aren't questionable even to the experts. But cacti seem like they are a different story. There are so many subtleties to train your eyes to see. I'm sure after a little while, these little things will become more apparent.
Nevertheless, thanks for the ID.
