Is there anywhere on the web that offers just the leaves for cheap? I heard you can just plant the leaves and they will grow.

the leaf will indeed root, but then never grow beyond that single living leaf. no new vertical growth.

1 areole is all that is needed. you can make 1 cm cuttings easily. even grafts still work good.

yes but so would a a thin piece of glass, both of which would not make it through shipping across the world in a normal padded envevlope.

in a normal padded envelope, i doubt it, i have received box's from over seas that looked like the world soccer star has had a run with them, then add the fact that you are in aus on top of that, nope
that is the reason i dont ship nothing over there any more, package gets taken or when it gets there it is broken, dead from sitting at customs for 1 month.
then you have to repay the cash / trade because your package never arrived/ or was damaged.
and you have to eat shipping charges twice.
never again
i have shipped everywhere else in the world, well not china, and i have had no problems

I'll send you some. I bought 3 cuttings from the U.K. (I live in the Caribbean, half a world away), and when they arrived they looked dead, but in less than a week they were doing great. Since then I've turned those three cuttings into 150 cuttings which now bear grafts, another 50 cuttings in various stages of rooting, and I've probably thrown away or cut back another 50 cuttings because I had no seedlings ready for grafting. I've even got a Pereskiopsis Crest ! If you'd like some rooted cuttings, PM me, I can package and ship well -- OTP.
