I'm trying to find the best way to grow nice healthy salvia, and I think this poll could benifit a lot of other people too...
-------------------- I'm in need of a sterile sporeprint, if anyone wants to do a trade for some seeds or something, or maybe just for free if you have a lot of them............. i'd really appreciate it

I know that they will grow okay without much humidity, but don't they flourish with humidity in the 75-100% range?

I use an ultra-sonic reptile humidifier in a tank next to mine so the humidity is near 100 percent at all times

Mine are doing quite well in an air conditioned room on a west-facing windowsill with a tree in front of it. currently 70F, RH 35%

There are some missing factors from your poll. That information is not helpful unless you know that the averages also have a direct relationship to the most successful cultivation.

I don't really get what you're saying... could you explain?

Well, how do you know that since most people have a humidity of 25-50%, a temp of 70-80 degrees, and partial shade; direct light for a few hours a day that it's the same people that fall into the average on humidity, temperature and light-requirement.
Also, you don't know if any of these people are what you would consider successful salvia growers just because they showed you what environment they grow their salvia in...
I hope that's clear...?

Gotcha, and point taken . I know what you mean and I agree. There might be better information on the best kind of environment for growing salvia somewhere online. Although this is a great place for info and resources, I think that the people that actually sell salvia(i.e. online vendors) would probably have a lot more experience and knowledge than your average Shroomery hobbyist.
I think that this question shouldn't have been made into a poll. I think that a question of something along the lines of "What temp, humidity, source of light and hours per day, and also how long have you had your salvia plants?" And maybe also request pics of their salvia, that way you can get an idea of the environment that the people who have had their plants longer grow in, and the pics could aid in deciding how healthy those plants are.
This is just an idea that came to mind, it might be bad or good, it wasn't meant to argue any kind of point or anything.

Yeah, what I meant to ask was "What temp, humidity, and lighting do Salvia's grow best at?"... oh well...

Heya,
Aswell as taking part in the poll by answering LOW humidity, pretty high temps and 250W MH 1,5 meters away from my Salvia plants I can show some pics of my Salvia plants. I'm not sure how to do a proper link but here is link to thread with some pics of my plants. Still growing nicely even tho I thought I damaged the Plant 2 when repotting.

Thanks,
